Nashville Hot Chicken

I drove for what felt like forever. But the outcome was so rewarding. Not only did I get to spend a wonderful weekend with my best friend in Nashville, but I also got to do the thing that I love most.

If you haven't seen this set, do yourself a favor. Just saying.

I know most photographers think I'm crazy but there is nothing more satisfying for me than spending a day surrounded by so much love, and then reliving those moments day in and day out until you deliver the finished product. It's my fairytale.

But more about my actual trip. As I said at the beginning, I drove for a long time, from Fort Myers to Mobile to pick up my best friend. Then from there, we continued onward together to Nashville. Singing Broadway showtunes the whole way there. To the city of music.

We explored, and ate, oh my gosh, we ate so much. From Taqueria's del Sol, to Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream (I mean, hello Whiskey Pecan ice cream, am I right?), to Biscuit Love(princess biscuit is my alter ego from now on) and finally Trattoria Il Mulino (their truffle ravioli was phenomenal). Nashville hot chicken changed my life though. For real.

We did all of the touristy things, sang some more show tunes, and then drove some more. We toured the Rymann, where country music was birthed.

It was bittersweet to leave. After meeting so many new wonderful new friends, and leaving Zeb is always a little heartbreaking for me. I love that man. And I hope he knows it. (I mean, it's pretty hard not to. Have you met him?)

But like all trips, it had to come to an end. I found closure on this trip, new friends, that my stomach really is a bottomless pit and so much love.
