Melanie & Rob.

Soooooooooooo I should really just start out by saying that I'm a few years late here. I said they would make it to the blog, however I never did say when. I'm latching on to that excuse but this year has been a year of progress for me. So better late than never, am I right?

I should start by saying that Melanie has played a HUGE part in my dream of being a photographer (maybe more than she knows actually) and I will forever be eternally grateful. Also, I have photographed some beautiful brides but I swear, Melanie looked like something straight out of a magazine. A true southern belle, dipped in elegance and sweetness with just enough tradition to make you dream about your own big storybook wedding.

I mean, come on! She looks like a Disney princess. Don't lie.

And her dress..... now there's a sweet story. Originally belonging to her mother, Melanie chose to alter the design just a bit but keeping something so priceless brought tears to her momma's eyes. It made me wish my mother had kept her dress, so that I could do something similar because it really was so meaningful. There was not a dry eye in the house ladies and gentlemen.

You know your girl asked for a twirl. <3

And then... so much sweetness.

Melanie and Rob. Now there's a love through adversity. They met in law school and became friends. Rob was diagnosed with Granulomatosis with polyangiitis; a rare disorder that causes inflammation of the blood vessels in your nose, sinuses, throat, lungs and kidneys. To learn more about it, click here: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/granulomatosis-with-polyangiitis/symptoms-causes/syc-20351088?fbclid=IwAR2fgizlIeD8heexoM6fr-MraWNbU-LpT2TDj4pmLK2X6o3h07nkBUhxnS4

When he got sick and had to withdraw from law school for a semester, Melanie stepped in to help take care of his fur baby, Zeus (originally named Pongo, which was a very appropriate name since he technically brought Melanie and Rob together). Zeus quickly became the excuse for them to talk and become closer.

Their friendship grew into something real, something unmistakably deep, they became each other's family. They've been through so much together in such little time, and they are definitely an inspiration to others (myself included).

{Swoon}

It just goes to show, once you know what you truly want, you want to start living that life as soon as possible. And I know they'll live happily ever after.

Every little bit helps. #WGWarrior #cleareyesfullheartcantlose
